Giving Tuesday is now over, so we would like to thank all the members and friends of AFW who have contributed to our cause so far.

Although we won't benefit from a special matching from Facebook anymore, please consider donating to our annual fundraising campaign, so we can carry on offering as many classes and events as possible throughout the year 2020. As we're a registered 501(c)(3) organization, all contributions are tax deductible in accordance with the law. (Donations can also be made by check or cash.)

Planning to enroll in a class taking place during our Winter session? Registrations are now open and our $25 Early Bird Discount ends on December 15th.

Discount is applied directly when you pay online. If you're paying by check, your check must be sent by December 15th for the discount to apply.

French Classes in Larchmont

Alliance Française of Westchester’s main offices are located in White Plains, NY. However, we’re partnering with the Music School of Westchester in order to give our members the opportunity to learn French closer to their home. Indeed, we have many members living in New Rochelle, Larchmont or Mamaroneck, so depending on their level there might be options for them to learn French in Larchmont.

Currently, we propose French lessons in Larchmont either on Tuesdays or Fridays.

  • During the morning, group classes are available for beginners or for people who have an intermediate level (“B1” according to the Europe scale for learning foreign languages). We may also be able to arrange private lessons for you, depending on our teachers and classrooms availability.
  • In the early afternoon until 4pm, our classrooms are available for private tutoring, either for children, teenagers or adults.
  • From 4pm to 6pm, we offer classes for Francophone children, i.e. for children who have at least one parent at home who speaks to them in French on a regular basis, or children who have previously attended regular classes in a French or bilingual school. In order to enroll your children in these classes, we will first need to assess their level in both written and spoken French.
  • From 6pm until 7.30pm, we currently offer lessons for non-Francophone teenagers of all levels. Those time slots may also be available for adult learners, for example if you work during the day and can’t attend our regular classes during day-time.
