L’Alliance Française

Alliance Française is a worldwide federation that encourages an appreciation for all aspects of the French language and Francophone cultures. Founded in Paris in 1883, the Alliance established its first American chapter in 1888. Today there are approximately 120 chapters throughout the United States with over 30,000 members.

Alliance Française du Westchester, NY

Founded in 1962, AFW is the Westchester County, NY chapter of the Alliance Française. AFW offers a wide range of courses in the French language at all levels to all ages. AFW offers a variety of social and cultural events, including lectures, discussion groups, cooking classes, book clubs, French food and wine tastings and celebrations of Francophone holidays.

As a member of the Alliance Française du Westchester, you have access to opportunities that will enrich your love and appreciation of the French language and the Francophone arts, literature, cuisine and traditions. Join our community!
