Updated COVID-19 policies

Updated COVID-19 policies

As Spring is on its way and as our team is actively working towards resuming in-person operations, we would like to inform you about our updated policies regarding COVID-19.

Covid-19 Policy as of March 28, 2022

Due to the decrease in Covid-19 cases in Westchester County and pursuant to the Center for Disease Control’s guidance, effective March 28, 2022, Alliance Française of Westchester (“AFW”) is mostly suspending its Covid-19 Masking and Social Distancing Policy. Wearing a mask while attending in-person events, classes or meetings is strongly recommended but is no longer required, except for children between 2 and 5. Proof of vaccination is also not required to attend in-person activities. We continue our ongoing mitigation efforts of enhanced cleaning of classrooms and high contact areas as well as reducing class capacity as needed.

AFW does recommend the following measures for the health and safety of its members, staff and guests:
- Stay home if you are feeling ill or have any symptoms of an upper-respiratory infection;
- Wear a mask if you believe you are susceptible to becoming ill or if you have any reason to believe that you may be infectious to others;
- Get vaccinated against Covid-19 if you are able.

Changes to Policy
The AFW Board of Directors and staff will continue to actively monitor Covid-19 developments and related health requirements and recommendations from all relevant authorities, including government regulations and the CDC. The AFW may modify any or all of the policy when it determines that such modification or rescission is consistent with the health and safety of all its constituencies.

Questions
Please address questions regarding this policy to the AFW’s Executive Director, Rachel Villéger.
